Edgewater High School Wide Receiver

Edgewater High School Wide Receiver

Dual sport athlete, AJ Howard loves to compete in anything: football, 7v7, track, basketball…he'd even try competitive eating if there was a league for it. What separates him from other prospects is his coachability, dedication, and love for competition. As a leader, AJ gets along with teammates on/off the field, and there's nothing more important than winning. He'll do whatever it takes to progress: late night practices, wake up early for drills, or watch film during lunch. During family vacation, he was found by the beach alone doing a ladder drill workout to get better footwork.

AJ Howard = Football

Simple Math

Naturally gifted, AJ made Edgewater High School's varsity team with only 4 months of football experience! Now, imagine what he’ll look like after continuing to prepare for college. Understanding football is the ultimate team sport, when he runs a route as a secondary target, he runs harder. And that's what’s awesome about AJ; he's a real team player and willing to sacrifice for the team. You’ll never see him yelling at a teammate for a mistake, he's the guy that picks up a player.

Just Getting Started

Raw talent is still talent

With little training to date, these performances are promising, but now he’s got a coach and AJ's future as a track star is looking bright. Entering his sophomore year, AJ is beyond determined to find out how far his speed can actually take him. Edgewater's Head Track & Field Coach, Bernard Carter will work with AJ this season to refine his technique and form as he pushes him to achieve even faster results.
